Bellmore Library Teens and friends and relatives
came together to decorate valentine cards for veterans.
The 25 cards are being taken to the VA Hospital in Northport.
On Tuesday, February 7th from 7-7:30PM, there will be a live webcast on Senator Fuschillo’s website.
Nearly half of all teens have been the victim of cyber-bullying. Learn how to protect yourself or your child.

The Baking Coach will show us how to get creative and cover a 7″ cake with buttercream frosting, then decorate using edible “spray paint” and finish with a frosting border. Take home your customized creation to enjoy with the family, or by yourself!
There is a nonrefundable fee of $3. Limit: 24 teens in grades 6-12. Sign up and get your ticket at the reference desk.
If you came into the library through the west entrance recently, you may have noticed a banner hanging on the wall. We are proudly displaying this banner for the month of October to spread awareness of the importance of non-violence. October 2 was International Day of Non-Violence, and to honor this day, some of our TAG members came to create their own non-violence posters which are currently displayed in the Teen area. Please stop by to view their artwork on your next trip to BML!
From now until June 30, 2012, Disney Worlwide Publishing will be giving Maximum Access to 108 books—many by favorite teen authors like Rick Riordan, Eoin Colfer, and Melissa de la Cruz—which can be downloaded from the Bellmore Library’s home page.
Maximum access means that an unlimited number of readers can download the same book at the same time.
Books may be downloaded to just about any kind of e-book reader, including the Kindle.

28 teens gathered at long tables in the community room to hear our favorite chef, Tom Valenti of Piccolo Ristorante, telling about all kinds of pizzas, then walking us all step-by-step through the art of building a small, incredibly wonderful pizza to bake at home. He brought wonderful dough, amazing sauce, and impossibly delicious cheese. There were 28 absolutely unique pizzas made–each pizza was as unique as its maker!
